Spring into Pilates


As the weather warms up and signs of Spring are everywhere, why not put some Pilates into your everyday.

The signs are everywhere... lambs bouncing in the fields, gorse blooming on the hills and bluebells all over. Also people are out and about on foot , on bike and even in the sea! Making tennis dates, retrieving the golf clubs and getting back into the garden and allotment.

I have finally signed up for the Parish Walk, just to Port Erin, and have started training in earnest. So far the knees are holding up and I am keeping the blisters at bay.

As ever I find that by incorporating a few key Pilates exercises pre and post more vigourous exercise, my body tends to perform more effectively and recover more readily.

This term we are focussing on exercises that build core stability and focus on strengthening the lower body. Classes started on Thursday 28 April, Monday classes commence from 9 May. There are limited spaces on all classes so please let me know if you are interested in joining.
